UNCC is a joke.Quite Bright
UNCC is a joke. Boys and Girls, I graduated in 2004 and this school did nothing other than provide that piece of paper we all chase in college, a degree. If you can transfer, please do for your own sake. This school will not help your resume, or your career. I happened to be lucky enough to find a fellow UNCC graduate in the professional space at Wachovia and from there I made my OWN way. This school will do nothing else other than take your money, and then ask you for alumni donations. This school is barely a university, so if you're capable enough, leave.

Question
UNCC is one of those schools not unlikeAverage
UNCC is one of those schools not unlike NC State that is pretty easy to get into but difficult to get out of. Many many people try to go into nursing and engineering and are sent packing. Maybe they are a little money hungry? But what university isnt? If you expect the world to kiss your ass once you start looking for jobs think again. Once piece of advice though if you come here you will need a car. And yes if you don't you will be bored because the campus is on a closed loop not unlike UCLA or other urban campuses. The campus is in an area surrounded by two major thoroughfares- University City Blvd (hwy 49) and North Tryon St. There is a lot of stuff you can get into downtown or in the surrounding area and contrary to some of the reviews the area is not crime ridden. From time to time there are car break ins especially at the beginning of the year. But they are a result of individual stupidity.. leaving crap in your car in plain site. Compared with the rest of the city though its a nice area. Dont let the morons who flunked out make you think differently. If you want a solid education for a decent price then UNCC is an excellent choice.

Question
UNC Charlotte is a great university. Not so bright
UNC Charlotte is a great university. I am sad to see all the negative comments about the University. College is what you make of it, and coming to UNC Charlotte has made me into the person I am today. I am heavily involved on campus and I know a lot of things to do. Campus Activites Board always have programs so does Niners on the Weekend. They take trips and give away free stuff all the time. Student Organizations have programs as well but students don't attend.

The resources are available for students to have a great college experience. The problem is people don't go and then they complain about nothing to do. Well if you stay in your room all the time then you will be bored, you will hate your college experience. Freshman do go home a lot, I feel that it is because they can have cars. Some students go home every weekend. If they didn't have cars some would forced to stay and seek out the many oportunities to get involved on the weekends.
