Different MBA Programs
Individuals holding degrees from all areas of studies can move into management with an MBA degree. Existing health care professionals, real estate agents, engineers, information technology and finance are just some industries which have a high demand for individuals with an MBA degree. Accounting
You will need your MBA degree to be eligible for the exam to become a Certified Public Accountant. You will also need your MBA degree to become a certified forensic accountant. There are several avenues you can go down within the accounting industry when you obtain your MBA. A lot of accounting certifications require you to have at least a masters degree.
Health Care
With an MBA degree and existing experience in the health care field you can expect you pay to rise substantially. Health care executives are some of the best paying executives in the US. With an MBA degree you could find yourself running a health care facility or running an individual unit within a facility. An MBA degree is a great addition for a registered nurse looking to move in to health care management.
Executive MBA
An executive MBA is for someone who has been working in mid to upper level management for a decade or more. An executive MBA program is a special program offered by some universities where individuals can earn their MBA in as little as months with minimal class meetings. An executive MBA program is designed for the individual already in management.
International Business
Learn what it takes to close multi national deals when you earn your MBA with an emphasis on international business. You will be studying international law, business, finances and economics. Most international business MBA programs will have a program where you will work overseas for sometimes a month or greater.
Sports Management
An MBA with an emphasis on sports management could have you sitting in the front office of your favorite major league sports team, running the local universities sports program or working with athletes on contact negotiations.
Project Management
As a project manager you will be responsible for the planning, organizing and executing of major projects. You will be responsible for keeping the project within budget and on time.
Finance
An MBA with an emphasis on finance could have you managing an individuals finances, corporate finances, government finances or advising on economics.
Real Estate
An MBA in real estate will teach you what it takes to close commercial and residential real estate deals, the laws surrounding commercial and residential deals and international real estate deals.
