Already hold a degree in information technology, nursing or education? You can fast track to your MBA in as little as 12 months with some accelerated MBA programs. You would need to hold at a minimum a bachelors degree to be accepted in to an accelerated MBA program.

Health care management

Individuals in the health care industry can look at advancing their careers on the business end of health care by obtaining their masters in business administration.

Registered nurses can obtain their MBA in as little as 12 months. Moving into health care management from nursing can bring a huge increase to ones pay. Some upper management positions within the health care industry pay in excess of $125k/year.

Education Administration

As an educational administrator you will be directing, planning and coordinating the academic, administrative and day to day activities of a private or public elementary and secondary level school.

According to the May 2013 occupational employment and wages report released by the bureau of labor statistics, education administrators elementary and secondary make on average just above $90k/year. The top ten percent educational administrators earn above $128k/year. The top payers for educational administrators are junior colleges and social advocacy organizations paying over $100k/year.

As an educational administrator you may find your self working at the elementary or secondary level at a public or private school. Religious, psychiatric, substance abuse and other residential care facilities also have a need for education administrators.

You should hold at least a masters degree and have worked previously as a teacher to be considered for a position as an educational administrator.
