Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
Kenyon is a lovely place. I have only been here for one semester and can already see the true value of the experience. Vivid positives that come to mind immediately are the bright faculty, the personal atmosphere, the non-competitive environment and the many opportunities to try somethign new. Highly recommended for those intellectuals who seek a more personal, kind, and down to earth atmosphere.Unfortunately, every rose has its thorn. Few negative aspects of the college seem prevalent. It is a small place with many rumors and damn near impossible to hide. However, most people are nice and would rather get to know you before judging you. More elaboratively, there is a small contingent of close-minded egocentrists out to spread rumors, but the majority of the srtudnet body recognizes it and are active critics on the subject.
With all that in mind, there is no place like Kenyon. If you're up for serious academics in a tightly-knit comunity (so tight it can drive you crazy as mentioned above) then look no further.
