There are both good and bad things aboutQuite BrightCommunications
There are both good and bad things about this school, as there are with every school..however I would say there are more bad about this one. There are many major choices, so if you ever change your mind that is a good thing. However, many classes that are required by all students (writing studios, some arts and science courses) are taught by graduate students who may have never taught before or who speak poor English. I took one geography class with a TA with a thick Indian accent who was no help whatsoever, and the professor didn't care. This school is also extremely clicky...If you don't like the friends you make freshman year, then you better leave because they are your friends for all 4 years. Most people are not interested in meeting new people once they have an established group of friends. Also, if you don't like to party, DO NOT COME HERE! You will be extremely bored! Drinking is one of the activities to pass the time here...and sports. The surrounding city and area sucks and leaves everything to be desired.

I love Syracuse so far.BrightCommunications
I love Syracuse so far. If you're planning on attending the best advice I can give you is to get involved in the SummerStart program they offer before fall semester. You take two smaller-sized classes and you get to know a lot of people from different backgrounds before you actually start in the fall. I feel much more confident as an incoming freshman because I know my way around, most of the learning resources available, developed a social scene, and know what to expect as far as the workload and how to manage my time. Syracuse is a large university, but I never feel like a number. The professors inspire you to think "outside the box" and even in just six weeks I feel like I have grown mentally.I'm so happy I chose SU.
