Attending the University of Florida was the worstQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Attending the University of Florida was the worst mistake I have ever made in my entire life. The city of Gainesville is a horrible place to live in. The people in this town are boring. After graduation, I could not find a decent job with my UF degree. Now, I work in South Florida for a bunch of FSU Alumni who boss me around all day. I would not advise anyone to attend the University of Florida. Instead, go to Florida State Universtiy and receive a better education for your money. Just my opinion.

Question
UF is a great place to party, drink,Super BrilliantGeography and Geosciences
UF is a great place to party, drink, make friends, have fun, meet people, find girlfriends/guy friends, and for many girls, to find their M.R.S. HOWEVER, I would nto recommend it to anyone serious about their education, goals, and job placement. The geoscience department in particular were honestly a bunch of arrogant jerks that either did not spend any time helping students, or were too stupid to teach correctly- they only cared about their research and publishing. To them, students came last and education worse. Geology is just about geochemistry and nothing else; geography is a joke, in particular Nigel Smith. I advise you, if you are looking for a place to succeed and get a great education, stay away from UF. Even outside geosciences, this is the rule for any department on campus. If you want to party, drink, etc etc, then this is your place.

Question
UF is a great college to attend, especiallyQuite BrightReligion/Religious
UF is a great college to attend, especially considering the extremely low tuition rates. All of your professors are accomplished in their field, and the majority are friendly and accomodating. Despite that, some professors fail to make classes challenging enough. Some resort to tests that rely almost completely on memory rather than complex rational thinking. This was true of several of my religion classes; I would have Harvard trained professors going over future tests as if we were in high school. In other areas this is generally not a worry, such as in philosophy, which I minored in. The good thing is that with a little investigation, UF lets the college experience be as demanding as you want it to be. The only other problem, which is a by-product of what I'e just mentioned, is that UF has too much grade inflation. The average grade in classes seems to be a B rather than a C. This can devalue your diploma to employers.
