Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Concerning the LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGE-Not so brightUndecided
Concerning the LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGE-
Oh Madison Madison, how you almost drove me mad. This factory of diplomas conceals nothing, it is an excellent place for our fear-gripped consumer who believes in joining the grand rat-race prematurely. Please don't confuse this monstrosity with a "place of higher learning". Instead it's a poisonous enterprise of conformity because it graduates "intellectually SATISFIED" minds aka multiplied ignorance.

Unfortunately our classification of what "learning" is has not caught up with the complexity of society. "Learning" is all you will ever recieve from an institution like UW-Madison. It is not a place of knowledge. "What is the sense in knowing things that are useless?" -don Juan. I long for the days when there was a clear line between vocational schools and liberal arts schools. This is a neutral review because I do not wholy deplore attending UW-Madison. However I strongly urge those Curiousos who are financially priveledged and mentally sane to attend an independent liberal arts school because DUH, if you can postpone setting foot into the rat race (oh yah, one of the many applauses UW-Madison recieves is that if you can make it through the spiritual starvation of that hell then you are ready for the REAL world, why the urgency?) then by all means do it! At least when you inevitably join the rat-race you'll have some back-bone to offer for all the spineless and aimless scurrying others.I desired an Organized educational experience AKA "liberal arts college" that would lift me up and not be an exclusive preparation for the "real world". Cause ladies and gents, what is the "real world" anyways? And yes, you may say it's the world of survival, but this is also a characeristic interpretation of a fear-gripped mind. So my only advice is, don't attend a college with the misnomer of "liberal arts" in a university if you can avoid it!

Question
Ok u should totally take advantage of uwQuite BrightComputer Science
Ok u should totally take advantage of uw madison's study abroad or university exchange student prog's---that means you won't have to be at this god-awful school as much! my advice: look somewhere else! don't be like me, a jr who's put in three years and is too close to transfer...yet has had a really rough time with know-it-all self-absorbed professors and students and can't wait 2 leave!

Question
I despise this school, plain and simple.AveragePolitical Science
I despise this school, plain and simple. I transferred my junior year and despite the better "reputation" of Madison from the school I transferred from, I find my old school to be much better. There, I was taught by native speakers for my language classes, an opportunity not available at Madison for the language I study. I took Political Science classes with world leaders in the study, but at Madison I feel like my polisci professors are bottom of the barrel nobodies. The campus is hideous. I went to a bigger university before and felt like less of a number than at Madison. None of my classes are interesting.

What is it that people see in this school?
The only good thing about it is that it's much cheaper for me, since I am in-state. I'm just trying to graduate at this point so I can leave.
